Publisher's Desk Review Criteria
Publishers use the following questions to determine whether to move the submission from the Publisher's Desk to the Editor's Desk.
- Does the proposal align with the proposal type selected (e.g., conference proposal for the event type)?
- Did the applicant prepare a professional proposal as defined in the Proposal Portal (e.g., MS Word, copyedited, includes citations)?
- Did the applicant submit an original proposal?
- Did the applicant remove all identifying information?
- Does the proposal include all the required information (e.g., title, abstract, keywords, and 3-5 page attachment)?
- Does the proposal align with the mission of the Education Law Association?
If all five questions are answered in the affirmative, the Publisher will move the application to the Editor's Desk for the editor to assign blind peer-reviewers. If any question is answered in the negative, the Publisher will request the applicant resubmit the proposal within five working days.
