During the COVID-19 pandemic, students switched over to online learning spaces to continue their studies. However, many students found themselves without access to the learning and even with the materials provided by their schools, they continued to miss their learning opportunities. Synchronous learning required certain speeds and fixed home internet to meet the demands of online platforms, much to which was met with lacking internet. This literature review provides findings on the impact the marginalization had on students as well as the limitations met with online learning. Recommendations for practice are provided as we move onto a post-pandemic educational chapter.
