This roundtable discussion will examine how, despite the passage of many laws, Multilingual Learners/English learners (MLs/ELs) and their families continue to be marginalized throughout their public, K-12 educational experience. This session will provide a historical overview of MLs’ and their families’ legal rights, and subsequently prescribe recommended actions school leaders can take to end marginalization of MLs and their families.
